01How we run it

How VisMed runs billing.

Reviewed by the VisMed programs & staffing team

We run the audit free because it is the honest way to start. A practice should not have to take a vendor’s word for where its revenue is leaking. With read access to your aging and denial history, two to three business days, and a sample of encounters against their notes, we can show you the leak in dollars per month, which payers and which steps it comes from, and how much is realistically recoverable.

You keep the findings whether or not you hire us. Some practices use the leak map to fix their own process; some take it to their current vendor. That is fine. The audit is also how we decide whether we can help: if the numbers say your billing is already tight, we tell you that.

As an ongoing service, the same review runs quarterly on active accounts, including a compliance read of coding patterns, modifier use and documentation against the payer policies that generate audits.

03Questions

Billing & compliance audit, asked and answered.

What a practice asks about this service on the first call.

What does VisMed’s free AR audit include?

VisMed reviews six months of aging by bucket and payer, denial reasons ranked by dollars, a sample of encounters against their notes for undercoding, and returns a written leak map with the monthly loss and a recovery estimate. It takes two to three business days.

What does the audit commit us to?

Nothing. VisMed gives you the findings in writing to keep, whether you hire us, fix it yourselves or take it to another vendor. If the numbers show your billing is already tight, we say so.

Does VisMed audit compliance as well as revenue?

VisMed’s ongoing audits read coding patterns, modifier use, frequency and documentation against the payer policies that trigger audits, and report exposure alongside leakage.
